Preferred Apartment Communities is hiring a Maintenance Technician for Retreat at Lenox Village in Nashville, TN. The role covers daily and preventive maintenance across appliances, plumbing, HVAC, minor electrical systems, gate systems, pool operations, and all amenity areas, with focus on resident satisfaction.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of maintenance experience, refrigeration certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in apartment communities.
• Refrigeration certification (Type II or Universal) within 90 days, valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle equipment.
• Proficiency with basic maintenance tasks and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and preventative maintenance for the community, including appliances, plumbing, HVAC, minor electrical, gate systems, pool operations, and amenity areas.
• Process resident work orders and update service requests; maintain professional, customer-focused communication.
• Prepare vacant apartments for rent, including repairs, touch-ups, and light cleaning.
• Maintain common and amenity areas in a clean, safe condition; support budget adherence and contractor performance.
• Assist Maintenance Manager and participate in resident events as needed.
• Present a neat appearance and communicate clearly with residents and prospects.
