Job summary

Preferred Apartment Communities is hiring a Maintenance Technician for Retreat at Lenox Village in Nashville. You’ll perform daily and preventative maintenance on appliances, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems, maintain clean work areas, and respond to resident requests with a service-first mindset.

The role requires 1–3 years in maintenance, a refrigeration cert, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work stairs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in apartment communities.
• Hold refrigeration certification (Type II or Universal) within 90 days.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
• Move appliances between units using a hand truck and navigate stairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and preventative maintenance for the apartment community, including appliances, plumbing, HVAC, minor electrical, gate systems, pool operations, and amenity areas.
• Complete resident maintenance work orders and update service requests, interacting with residents professionally.
• Prepare vacant apartments for rent by completing repairs, touch-ups, and light cleaning.
• Maintain all common and amenity areas in clean, safe condition.
• Assist Maintenance Manager by monitoring contractor performance and adhering to budget.
• Present a neat appearance, communicate clearly with residents, and assist with resident events.
