Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking a Service Technician 2 in Colorado Springs, CO. You will maintain vacant and occupied apartments, performing painting, drywall repairs, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks to keep units ready for occupancy.

The role emphasizes strong mechanical aptitude, on-time service, and customer-focused interaction with residents and team members. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years maintenance experience required.
• 3-5 years painting and drywall repairs required.
• High degree of mechanical aptitude required.
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds and climb stairs.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• HVAC, CPO, EPA certification desired or required.
• Willing to work across multiple properties; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy including painting, drywall repair, plumbing and electrical work.
• Independently repair electrical, plumbing, water heaters, HVAC systems and appliances.
• Perform carpentry, drywall, interior/exterior painting tasks.
• Identify when to use full paint or touch-ups and select proper sheen and color.
• Inspect and repair flooring including plank, vinyl and carpet.
• Maintain logs and safety across tasks; follow city requirements where applicable.
• Coordinate with residents, vendors, and team members to complete requests promptly.
