Job summary

HSL Asset Management LLC in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our apartment communities safe, attractive, and well-maintained. You will handle repairs, preventative maintenance, make-ready units, and respond to service requests with a focus on quality and resident satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or vocational certification.
• Minimum 1 year of apartment maintenance or related maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation for business-related responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, Plumbing, Electrical, Appliance repair, Carpentry, General building maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform service requests and maintenance repairs promptly and professionally.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general maintenance issues.
• Complete preventative maintenance to maximize equipment performance.
• Prepare apartment homes for new residents, including make-ready and quality inspections.
• Maintain community amenities, common areas, and grounds to company standards.
• Identify and address safety concerns throughout the property.
• Assist with emergency maintenance and participate in the on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate effectively with management and residents.
• Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Supervisor and community Director to deliver exceptional resident service.
