Job summary

SMC is seeking a Service Technician in Annandale, VA to ensure community assets meet company standards and laws. You will diagnose problems and perform hands-on repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related systems.

The role requires documenting service requests, maintaining supplies, and participating in on-call rotations. You will lift up to 80 pounds and work with a diverse team to keep facilities safe and well-maintained.

Qualifications

Must have superb customer service and strong written/verbal communication.
Ability to keep neat and accurate records and follow directions.
Proficient with technology and maths basics; safety conscious.
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and perform trades tasks.
Experience in general maintenance and basic repair work.

Responsibilities

Address and document service requests, maintain supplies, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units.
Complete preventive maintenance inspections as scheduled and participate in on-call rotations.
Make repairs to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related systems as needed.
Maintain tools per internal checklist and ensure safety and quality standards.
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor and contribute to team engagement.
