Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification is required without exceptions.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on apartment or multifamily maintenance experience.
• Must own personal tools and HVAC gauges.
• Strong HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance skills.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, and unit make-ready processes.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems in occupied and vacant units.
• Prepare units for new residents (make-ready/punch process).
• Complete resident work orders efficiently and professionally.
• Repair major appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers.
• Perform basic electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Maintain community curb appeal and cleanliness.
• Assist with renovation or property upgrade projects as needed.

Essential Staffing Solutions (ESS) is seeking reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated Apartment Maintenance Technicians with strong HVAC experience to support multifamily apartment communities.

Job Description

This is a multifamily apartment maintenance role, not an HVAC-only position. The Apartment Maintenance Technician (HVAC Focus) is responsible for maintaining HVAC systems and performing general apartment maintenance duties, including work orders, unit turns, and make-readies.
