Essential Staffing Solutions (ESS) is seeking reliable Apartment Maintenance Technicians with strong HVAC experience for multifamily communities. This role combines HVAC-focused repairs with general maintenance, including work orders, unit turns, and make-readies.

The technician will troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems in occupied units, prep units for new residents, and handle appliance repairs while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification (required - no exceptions)
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on apartment or multifamily maintenance experience
• Must own personal tools and HVAC gauges
• Strong HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance skills
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, and unit make-ready processes
• Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems in occupied and vacant units
• Prepare units for new residents (make-ready/punch process)
• Complete resident work orders efficiently and professionally
• Repair major appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers

Job Description

This is a multifamily apartment maintenance role, not an HVAC-only position. The Apartment Maintenance Technician (HVAC Focus) is responsible for maintaining HVAC systems and performing general apartment maintenance duties, including work orders, unit turns, and make-readies.
