Job summary

The Dolben Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Towson, MD community of 175 apartments. You will support preserving a high quality living environment and respond to maintenance requests to keep residents comfortable.

You will handle HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repairs, perform turnover work for vacants, and participate in on-call rotations, weekends, and after-hours emergencies while adhering to safety policies and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance preferred and/or 1-2 years of experience preferred
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency preferred but not required in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair
• Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation
• Personal, reliable transportation to get to work and to respond to on-call emergencies
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Basic computer skills and comfort using various software, apps and computer programs

Responsibilities

• Resolving maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair
• Preparing vacant apartments for move-in through turn-over repairs and improvements
• Providing residents with outstanding customer service
• Showing care and concern for residents through excellence in service ticket resolution and preventative maintenance
• Operates with OSHA standards and company safety policies
• Working weekends or evenings and being on call for after-hour emergencies
