Job summary

Preferred Apartment Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Grapevine to service and repair apartment community facilities. The role includes responding to maintenance requests, upgrading appliances and systems, and preparing units for new residents in a fast-paced setting.

You will work with a team to maintain pools, gates, and amenities, while providing excellent resident service and ensuring safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years maintenance experience (apartment maintenance preferred).
• Refrigeration certification (Type II or Universal) required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, move 300+ lb items on wheels, climb 40‑ft ladders, and use hand tools and test equipment.
• Ability to move heavy equipment (100–300+ lbs) including stairs when required.
• Comfort working at heights and in varied conditions while performing repairs and upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance requests including appliances, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, gates, pools, and facilities.
• Respond to emergency calls during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prepare vacant units to make apartments rent‑ready.
• Maintain facilities and inventory; keep shops organized and amenities clean.
• Provide resident support through professional communication and event assistance.
• Handle administrative tasks like logging service requests and updating databases.
