Job summary

CWS Apartment Homes is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help keep our residential communities safe and well-maintained. The role emphasizes safety, strong customer service, and reliable operation of apartments, common areas, and systems.

You will respond to service requests, manage preventative tasks, and collaborate with residents, vendors, and the CWS team. Qualified candidates have at least a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of apartment maintenance or related trade experience, plus EPA,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in apartment maintenance or trade requiring basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting and HVAC.
• EPA, HVAC I & II, and CPO certifications required.
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance required.
• Own basic set of hand tools.
• Able to read service requests, schedules, and converse with team members, residents, and vendors in English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to adhere to set and variable work schedules, including weekends and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare make-ready apartments.
• Complete service requests.
• Perform common area maintenance.
• Maintain inventory and shop organization.
• Participate in preventative maintenance program.
• Participate in resident satisfaction programs.
• Communicate with customers, residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and CWS team members.
• Participate in the CWS Risk Management and Safety Programs.
