Job Description
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team!
We are a Kansas and Missouri-based property management group seeking a motivated team player responsible for the overall maintenance of physical properties, under the direction of the Property Manager and/or Head of Maintenance.
You will be responsible for completing work orders and other tasks, performing general preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of buildings, systems, equipment, and grounds. Working under close supervision, you will assist in monitoring building systems' operations and performance, utilizing skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.
Locations: Multiple locations across the Kansas City Metropolitan area.
Responsibilities:
- Complete work and repair orders promptly.
- Estimate time and extent of repairs.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Maintain material and supply inventory.
- Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary.
- Complete building reports for weekly/monthly inspections.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and safety.
- Perform day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance, and keep maintenance and repair records.
- Review work orders, estimate required time and materials, and order necessary supplies.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and systems, including plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shops, and HVAC.
- Inspect new installations to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain lighting systems, clean fixtures, and replace bulbs and fixtures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in maintenance or related fields.
- Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
- Ability to handle physical workload.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician.
- Knowledge of maintenance processes and methods.
- Working knowledge of tools, appliances, and devices.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition, willingness to work overtime, and rotating on-call weekends.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
