M.E. Properties in Morgantown, WV, is looking for a full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician.The ideal candidate will be dependable and have well-rounded handyman skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to work independently or in a team setting.

The maintenance crew is responsible for completing routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance of assigned apartment units at multiple property locations around the Morgantown area. This position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Handle a wide range of handyman tasks involved with general home maintenance.
• Respond quickly to resident-requested work orders as well as after-hours emergencies during your on-call rotation.
• Take pride in preparing apartments for new tenants.
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical duties.
• Perform basic painting, caulking, and drywall work.
• Handle installation and minor repairs of appliances.
• Cabinetry and carpentry repairs.
• Flooring repairs - removal and installation.
• Other general maintenance tasks as requested.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents.

Requirements:

• Previous maintenance experience (preferred).
• Valid driver's license and dependable vehicle (required).
• On-call availability some evenings and weekends for emergencies (required).
• Some on-the-job training for the right candidate.
