Job summary

AGP Services is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for the Greentree Apartments in Dyersburg, TN. The role focuses on timely, high-quality maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems to ensure tenant satisfaction.

You will diagnose issues, supervise junior staff, and coordinate with contractors to complete major repairs while maintaining safety and documentation standards. A strong candidate has 3–5 years in maintenance and excellent problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certs a plus.
• 3–5 years in maintenance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
• Able to read manuals/diagrams and diagnose issues.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
• Diagnose and repair building issues, including safety systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Respond to emergencies and provide prompt service.
• Coordinate with contractors for major repairs or projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.

About Us:

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for our affordable housing property in Dyersburg. This property consists of 80 person units of affordable housing.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Lead Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring that our property in Dyersburg, Greentree Apartments, is well-maintained and operating efficiently. You will perform complex maintenance tasks, diagnose issues, and provide timely solutions to ensure tenant and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
• Diagnose and repair building issues, including mechanical, structural, and safety systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and ensure systems are operating efficiently.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and provide prompt service.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for major repairs or projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
• Assist in training and supervising junior maintenance staff when needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications are a plus).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
• Familiarity with tools, equipment, and machinery used in maintenance work.
• Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams to perform necessary repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Standing, bending, and working in various environments (indoor/outdoor) for extended periods.
• Ability to use ladders and other safety equipment.
