Job summary

AMLI Arts Center in Atlanta, GA is seeking an EPA-certified HVAC Maintenance Technician to join its on-site team. This hands-on role suits experienced apartment maintenance or HVAC technicians who pride themselves on high-quality repairs and keeping residents comfortable.

You will perform HVAC service, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and make-ready on vacated apartments. On-call rotation, strong attention to detail, and commitment to safety are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in apartment maintenance, HVAC service, or building maintenance.
• EPA Section 608 Certification or Type 1 and 2 required.
• Experience with HVAC systems, AC repair, refrigerant handling, and preventative maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete basic to intermediate HVAC repairs independently.
• Availability for on-call and weekend rotation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and advanced maintenance repairs, including HVAC troubleshooting, AC repair, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and glass replacement.
• Complete HVAC service, preventative maintenance, and system diagnostics, ensuring optimal performance and resident comfort.
• Ensure all vacated apartments are restored to make-ready condition with strong attention to detail.
• Respond promptly to service requests, including air conditioning and HVAC-related issues.
• Participate in an on-call rotation (evenings/weekends as needed).
• Conduct inspections and assist with preventative maintenance, including HVAC systems, pool care, exterior lighting, and filters.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and properly manage tools, equipment, and inventory.
