Job summary

Community Housing Partners seeks a Maintenance Technician II in Farmville, VA to diagnose and repair building systems, perform preventative maintenance, and complete turnovers. The role features a mostly Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) with an on-call rotation, competitive pay, overtime, and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general building maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Trade training or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete routine and moderately complex repairs across building systems.
• Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections.
• Maintain the appearance and functionality of buildings, grounds, and common areas.
• Complete apartment turnovers within established timelines.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance issues.
• Assist with vendor and contractor coordination as needed.
• Maintain accurate work order documentation using mobile maintenance software.
• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and company policies.
