Job summary

CAPREIT is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Falcon Heights apartment community. You will supervise maintenance staff, troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances, and manage preventative maintenance and capital improvements.

This role requires coordinating service requests and turnovers while ensuring safety and efficiency. You must have 3–5 years of apartment maintenance experience, a valid CFC HVAC certification, a valid driver’s license, and basic tools.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of apartment maintenance experience.
• A valid CFC with Type I and II or Universal certification is required.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to respond to on-call emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the maintenance and upkeep of the community by troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing heating and A/C units, water heaters, appliances, plumbing and electrical systems, asphalt, interiors/exteriors, drainage, and remodeling carpentry.
• Schedule service requests, prepare and schedule vacant turnovers, inventory, order supplies, coordinate contractors, maintain preventive maintenance, and conduct inspections and capital improvements.
• Oversee maintenance staff by hiring, training, and supervising personnel.
• Interact with residents, prospective residents, and vendors in a professional, courteous manner.
