Job Description

Service/Maintenance Managers make our apartment communities a great place to live. We take pride in the appearance and maintenance of our communities, and our residents tell us this is one of the most important reasons they choose to call us home.

You will oversee maintenance at our 225-unit apartment community in Center City, Philadelphia.

A bit more about what you’ll do…

• Lead and develop a team of 1-2 direct reports
• Provide exemplary service to residents and team members
• Manage all aspects of property maintenance including vendor relationships, service staff, preventative maintenance, apartment turns, and resident service requests
• Communicate property maintenance and capital needs to management and ensure they are addressed
• Ensure property compliance with AIR operating procedures, regulations, and environmental health & safety standards
• Manage budgets efficiently to maximize ROI while maintaining quality and customer service

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience with technical maintenance and facilities
• At least 3 years of experience in maintenance and facilities management, ideally in property management or similar industry (hospitality, retail, restaurants, etc.)
• 1-3 years of leadership experience in customer service and asset maintenance

Must Have:

• A reliable mode of transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts (at least once a month)
• Physical ability to move heavy equipment and machinery
• Ability to read, write, and speak English

Additional Information

AIR offers competitive compensation, including base salary ($58,000 – $75,000), bonuses, benefits, and perks such as rent-free on-site housing, professional development, and more. Candidates will undergo pre-employment screening including references, background checks, and drug screening (excluding marijuana).
