Base pay range:
$21.00/hr - $23.00/hr

AIR Communities uses industry-leading technology for a modern approach to maintenance so our Maintenance Technicians can help as many residents as possible each day. Whether you are turning an apartment to create the perfect move-in experience for new residents or resolving service requests to ensure that our current residents feel at home, every day is filled with new challenges.

What You Will Do
  • Provide excellent service to residents and assistance to team members.
  • Follow AIR’s process for completion of basic apartment turns to make the apartment ready for the next resident’s move-in.
  • With general direction, complete resident requested repairs and routine maintenance (e.g., troubleshoot and repair/replace plumbing, basic electrical components, HVAC equipment, and appliances).
  • May provide functional/technical direction and training to other Maintenance Technicians and support skill development.
  • May assist with managing vendor quality and may perform move-in/move-out inspections.
  • Responsibilities vary based on team member skillset, community needs, mechanical systems, and season.

What You Have

  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in facilities or building environments
  • Proficient skills in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks (depending on community needs and seasonality), and on-call shifts (at least one week a month)
  • A reliable mode of transportation to respond to emergency service requests while on-call after hours
  • Comfort with physical activity as you must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
