What you will be doing:

We are seeking a Service Manager with a "Whatever It Takes" approach to join our team! In this full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the physical aspects of this 240 unit community meet both the company standards and applicable laws. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will:

• Interview, hire and train new team members.
• Develop and lead a team of Maintenance Technicians through diagnosing problems and providing resolutions.
• Mentor and guide maintenance technicians to increase their overall knowledge and skills.
• Provide expert knowledge and troubleshooting in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliance repair.
• Establish and manage a 24-hour on-call schedule, and be personally available for snow, ice, or other on-site emergencies.
• Collaborate with office staff to provide exceptional service and follow-up to residents regarding maintenance issues.
• Manage and organize inventory of maintenance materials.
• Establish preventive maintenance, make-ready, and work order schedules for the team.
• Regularly inspect community buildings, including vacant units.
• Plan, assign, and supervise maintenance team work.

What we’ll expect from you:

• Active and valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
• Residence within a 30-minute commute of the properties.
• HVAC/EPA/CFC Certification preferred.
• One-year certificate, 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Successful criminal background check and drug screening.
