A renewable energy power generation company is hiring a Generation Services Maintenance Manager to take the lead on maintaining and servicing cutting-edge microgrid systems across the U.S. This role is ideal for someone with deep technical experience in critical power infrastructure (generators, switchgear, monitoring) who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments.

What You’ll Do

• Manage preventive maintenance, warranty work, and emergency repairs for distributed generation assets (primarily generators & switchgear)
• Coordinate with dispatch and technical teams to ensure seamless service execution
• Oversee installation of remote monitoring systems and ensure ongoing equipment uptime
• Troubleshoot on-site electrical issues and complex system configurations
• Select and manage third-party vendors and field technicians
• Create service reports, checklists, and internal documentation
• Estimate and manage service budgets and resource allocation
• Ensure technician training, safety compliance, and parts availability
• Support process improvements and stay on top of industry innovations

Who You Are

• 6+ years of experience in generator/switchgear service and maintenance
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, especially 3-phase power
• Experience managing service operations across multiple client sites
• Skilled at vendor coordination, team leadership, and technical troubleshooting
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Background in field service, electrical/mechanical contracting, or NOC environments is a plus
• Comfortable working independently, remotely, and on-site as needed
