Job summary

LR Management in Michigan is seeking a Leasing Consultant to join our team. Present apartments and amenities, build rapport with prospective tenants, and handle lease documents in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred although a high school diploma or GED with verifiable Leasing Coordinator experience will also be considered
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in leasing, hospitality, or administrative work
• Experience with Yardi and CRM
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to multitask during busy periods

Responsibilities

• Present apartments and amenities positively to prospective tenants
• Build rapport with tenants and provide personalized service
• Prepare and execute lease agreements and addendums
• Maintain apartment availability and unit status records
• Monitor use of facilities including laundry, mail, guest cards, and fitness center
• Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure property upkeep
• Screen prospective tenants for eligibility
• Coordinate orientation for new tenants
• Assist with front desk and clerical tasks, answer phones professionally
• Follow up on service requests
• Accept rent payments, deposits and fees
• Maintain and store documents securely
• Inspect properties at move-in and move-out
• Liaise with tenants to address inquiries and complaints
• Ability to work independently and in a team
