Job summary

SYLIS Property Management is seeking a dynamic Leasing Agent to be the first contact for prospective residents. You will showcase units, handle inquiries, conduct tours, process applications, and help drive high occupancy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (some college preferred).
• Previous leasing, sales or customer service experience is desirable.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in property management software and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work weekends and flexible hours as required.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws is a plus.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and tour prospective residents, showcasing available units.
• Respond to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
• Assist with marketing campaigns, open houses, and social media efforts.
• Conduct market research to stay informed on rental trends and competitor properties.
• Build strong, professional relationships with residents and address concerns promptly.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the leasing process and lifecycle.
• Process rental applications, verify qualifications, and prepare lease agreements.
• Maintain accurate lease records including renewals and resident information.
• Collect rent payments and manage other fees as needed.
• Support resident retention efforts, including renewal coordination.
• Conduct move-in/move-out inspections and document unit conditions.
• Report maintenance needs and ensure timely completion.
• Support with curb appeal and cleanliness of properties.
• Take and follow up on maintenance requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with management and maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations.
