Job summary

Career Strategies is seeking an experienced Apartment Leasing Consultant for a tax credit apartment community. Weekend coverage may be required. You will work with the Property Manager to provide excellent customer service, meet prospects, conduct tours, and process leasing paperwork to convert leads into leases.

The role emphasizes attention to detail and ability to follow directions to create a welcoming sense of community for residents and prospects.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of prior leasing experience required.
• LIHTC/Fair Housing knowledge or experience.
• Reliable transportation; punctual attendance required.
• Ability to process applications and prepare leases for qualified residents.
• Strong understanding of real estate laws, policies, and best practices.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

We are currently seeking an experienced Apartment Leasing Consultant to join a tax credit apartment community. This position may require some weekend coverage.

The Experienced Leasing Consultant will work with the Property Manager and team to provide excellent customer service, meet prospects, conduct tours, execute leasing paperwork, and follow up with leads to generate traffic to the community. As a Leasing Consultant, you are the first step in creating a sense of community for current and prospective residents. Individuals with strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions are vital to this role.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 6 months plus of prior leasing experience is a MUST!
• Affordable Housing Experience
• LIHTC Experience
• Knowledge of Apartment Leasing/Fair Housing
• Reliable transportation—attendance and punctuality are imperative
• Working knowledge of the community and floor plans to successfully convert tours to leases
• Ability to process applications and prepare leases for qualified potential residents
• In-depth understanding of the real estate industry, including laws, policies, and best practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous Tax Credit/LIHTC experience
• Bilingual in Spanish is a major plus
• Strong work ethic with reliability and dependability
• Friendly, energetic, and great people skills
• Ability to work weekends is a MUST
