Job summary

Insight Global seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Director to lead a high-volume AP function for a large organization in Florida. The role focuses on strategic leadership, modernization, and automation of AP processes to improve efficiency and vendor experience.

The candidate will oversee automation initiatives, manage a sizable team, and drive performance metrics while ensuring compliance and financial controls across multiple business units.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Accounts Payable leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Experience overseeing high-volume AP operations processing 50,000+ invoices annually.
• Strong experience with ERP and AP management systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proven ability to improve processes, implement automation, and drive operational efficiencies.
• Experience leading and developing large teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic finance business partner to executive leadership.
• Oversee complex accounts payable operations supporting multiple business units.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial processing and reporting.
• Lead initiatives focused on automation, process improvement, and operational excellence.
• Develop and execute strategies that improve productivity, controls, service levels, and overall performance.
• Manage, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
• Establish departmental goals, policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Identify and implement innovative solutions that improve quality while reducing costs.
• Support budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and other finance-related activities.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure effective payment processes.
• Monitor departmental budgets and promote cost-effective operations.
• Partner with stakeholders across the organization to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, performance management, and professional development within the department.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and financial controls.
