Job summary

ChemPoint in Bellevue, WA is seeking an AP Operations Lead to own end-to-end accounts payable processes, drive governance, and ensure accurate, timely payments while strengthening internal controls. You will partner with Finance and IT, manage vendor data, support month-end close, and lead automation initiatives to improve efficiency and supplier experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable experience.
• Strong knowledge of AP operations, invoice-to-payment workflows, and GAAP.
• Experience with ERP/AP systems and month-end close activities.
• Ability to identify root causes, resolve issues, and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and vendor payments.
• Monitor invoice processing queues, manage exceptions, and resolve aged or outstanding invoices.
• Set up and maintain vendor records and master data.
• Support month-end close activities related to Accounts Payable.
• Review and reconcile AP-related general ledger accounts and coordinate with Accounting for accurate reporting.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for suppliers and internal stakeholders on AP issues.
• Develop, maintain, and improve AP policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Lead data-driven analysis of AP performance to identify trends and improvements.
• Support automation initiatives and system enhancements with IT and vendors.
