Job summary

Dentonmhmr is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the Controller and finance team in recording, classifying, and verifying financial documents under federal, state and local guidelines.

You will reconcile and enter payable invoices with proper expense codes, process payments, and help with purchase orders and inventory records. The role requires accuracy, detail orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with supervision.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to pivot between multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient PC skills and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Display professionalism when working with vendors and Center staff.
• Reconcile and enter accounts payable invoices with correct expense codes.
• Process vendor payments and enter purchase orders.
• Assist with inventory records of laptops and physical assets.
• Maintain Receivable and Unearned Schedules in Excel.
• Support procurement and related administrative duties.
• Assist CFO with schedules and correspondence as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
