Job summary

A leading convenience store operator in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist. You will manage all accounts payable functions, including vendor reconciliations and ensuring accurate expense coding. The ideal candidate should have retail experience and strong computer skills, particularly in MS Excel. This role requires excellent organizational and analytical abilities, as well as the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Competitive wages and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain all accounts payable.
• Reconcile monthly vendor statements and related transactions.
• Act as liaison to investigate discrepancies and ensure proper coding.
• Process weekly check and EFT payments to vendors.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
• Work with Controller to ensure clean and timely year-end audit.

• Act as liaison between the various departments to investigate discrepancies and ensure expenses are coded properly;
• Process weekly check and EFT payments to vendors;
• Reconcile accounts payable;
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting; and
• Work with Controller to ensure clean and timely year-end audit.

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience, preferably with a background in retail;

• Previous experience using PDI software strongly preferred.
• Strong computer skills, most importantly with MS Excel;
