Job summary

BlackCube Labs in Seattle, WA is seeking a part-time, temporary Accountant to manage accounts receivable and payable processes, assist with audits, and support ERP usage. The role requires 1-3 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in business or accounting. Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook is expected, with ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with internal and external financial and tax audits and documentation.
• Support other accounting department duties and projects as needed.

Specific Responsibilities and Accountability

• Various accounts receivable functions including receipts, cash application, invoice posting, collections and credit management
• Various accounts payable functions including invoice entry, purchase order three-way matching, and payment processing
• Assist with internal and external financial and tax audit and documentation compilation
• Other duties, responsibilities and special projects may be assigned. The team member is expected to work in other areas of the accounting department when needed to assist operations and perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.

Experience & Skills

• Distribution and/or manufacturing background preferred
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Experience working with ERP systems preferred

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, Finance, or Accounting preferred

Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a standard office environment; Noise level is moderate in the work area.

Ability to communicate well orally with customers, management and co-workers is crucial. Regular use of phone and email communication is essential. Hearing and vision correctable within normal ranges is essential for conversations, receiving information and preparing and inspecting documents.

Must be able to sit for extended periods up to 50% of the time for computer use or maintain equipment in and around your desk. Occasional lifting of boxes, event materials, parts, swag or procured items up to 25lbs.

Must have good vision, and hearing with manual dexterity for computer work.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a part-time temporary hourly position approximately 6 months due to team member on maternity leave. Hourly rate is ($26.44 - $31.25) commensurate with experience and skills. Schedule is M-F approximately 8 hours daily
