Job summary

EFG Company in Irving, TX seeks a Manager, Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable to lead the AR and AP teams and ensure accurate, timely cash management processes. You will oversee daily AP/AR operations, support month-end close, and drive internal controls and reporting.

The role requires 3–5 years leadership in accounting, GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Dynamics GP, plus strong Excel and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
• 3–5 years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP and accounting software
• Experience with NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains 2010), and/or AS400 systems, as well as 1099 filing, preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting functions.
• Supports month-end close by preparing and reviewing AR/AP reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Addresses performance issues promptly and makes recommendations on personnel actions, including hiring, discipline, and termination, in partnership with Human Resources.
• Motivates, develops, and rewards team members, including recommending salary increases and promotions within budgets.
• Manages vendor payment runs and relationships, ensuring compliance with policies and terms.
• Oversees billing, collections, and cash application; monitors receivables aging and reduces past-due balances.
• Maintains internal controls over AR and AP; supports audits.
• Oversees annual 1099 reporting and tax/regulatory compliance.
• Identifies and implements process and system improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepares AR/AP and cash flow reporting for senior management.

Overview

The Manager, Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable leads the AR and AP teams and is accountable for the accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness of the company’s end-to-end cash management processes, from invoice processing and collections through month-end close. This role ensures strong internal controls, reliable financial reporting, and a well-developed, high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting functions, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time.
• Supports month-end close by preparing and reviewing AR/AP reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries to ensure accurate financial statements.
• Addresses performance issues promptly and makes recommendations on personnel actions, including hiring, discipline, and termination, in partnership with Human Resources.
• Motivates, develops, and rewards team members, including recommending salary increases, bonuses (as applicable), and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines.
• Manages vendor payment runs and relationships, ensuring compliance with approval policies and payment terms.
• Oversees billing, collections, and cash application; monitors receivables aging and leads efforts to reduce past-due balances.
• Maintains and strengthens internal controls over AR and AP processes and supports internal and external audits.
• Oversees annual 1099 reporting and ensures compliance with applicable tax and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
• 3–5 years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and accounting software
• Experience with NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains 2010), and/or AS400 systems, as well as 1099 filing, preferred
• Strong computer and business software skills, including Microsoft Excel
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with accountants, clients, and senior management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with team members and management at all levels
