Job summary

The Southern Ute Indian Tribe in Ignacio, CO is seeking an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk to handle vendor invoices, travel per diems, and check requests, as well as invoicing and cash receipts. The role is classified at grade N10 with a pay rate of $23.20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience with Word and Excel.

Position Summary

Responsible for processing accounts payable including vendor invoices, travel per diems, and check requests, including creating payment vouchers, matching to PO’s and receivers, and generating checks. Responsible for processing accounts receivable transactions including invoicing, cash receipts, account adjustments, and printing invoices and statements. This position is a grade N10; pay is $23.20/hour.

Education And Experience

Must have an AA/AS in Accounting or related field and 2 years of experience in GL, AP, or AR OR 3 years of relevant combined accounting experience in GL, AP or AR. Accounting experience must be within the last 10 years.

Must have computer experience with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Must pass a thorough criminal history background check.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of PeopleSoft A/P, A/R module.

General knowledge of including 1099 requirements.
