Birchwood is seeking an AP & AR Advisor to join our Finance team. You will manage full cycle payables and receivables, post invoices, reconcile statements, monitor cheque requests, and coordinate with vendors for timely payments.

Daily deposits, posting POS transactions, reconciling accounts, and weekly/monthly reviews to ensure accuracy are essential. Strong collaboration and attention to detail are required.

Qualificações

• Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable experience is an asset.
• Experience using CDK is an asset.
• Completed post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting is an asset.
• High attention to detail, proven time management, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to apply critical thinking in problem solving.

Responsabilidades

• Post invoices and reconcile statements for payables.
• Monitor internal cheque requests and liaise with vendors.
• Manage daily deposits, post deposits and POS transactions for AR.
• Reconcile clearing accounts and perform regular reviews for accuracy.
• Maintain robust records and support weekly/monthly close activities.

Reporting Relationship: The AP & AR Advisor reports directly to the Controller.

Job Summary: The AP & AR Team manages all accounts payable and receivable job functions for Birchwood. The AP & AR Advisor plays an integral role in the full cycle process and ensures that all payables and receivables are processed efficiently and effectively. AP functions include (but are not limited to): posting invoices, reconciling statements, monitoring internal cheque requests, and dealing with vendors. AR functions include (but are not limited to): daily deposits, posting daily deposits and POS transactions, and reconciling clearing accounts. Additional weekly and monthly duties exist around reviewing accounts for accuracy and maintaining robust records.

The successful candidate will join a team that collaborates daily, covets a strong work ethic, and celebrates achievement.

Qualifications:

• Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable experience is considered an asset
• Experience using CDK considered an asset
• Completed post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting considered an asset
• High attention to detail, proven time management, and organizational skills
• Proven ability to apply critical thinking in all problem-solving situations
• Comfort leveraging technology for most day-to-day functions
• Proficiency working with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other applications
• Exceptional communication skills & ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
• Valid driver's license and own transportation to work are required
