Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking an experienced AP/AR professional to lead the branch accounting function for business operations and collaborate with the regional CFO on timely financial updates, including month-end, YTD, and YoY comparisons.

The role also provides branch administrative support, ensuring adherence to UES policies, and assisting in onboarding new hires. Strong communication and multi-tasking skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to lead a team.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily effort for AP/AR work product.
• Support month-end and year-end close, variance analysis, and schedules.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements, internal reports, and audits.
• Monitor adherence to internal controls and accounting policies to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and assist with system upgrades or automation projects.
• Prepare invoices, proposals, reports, and support collection processes.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies and programs.
• Serve as first point of contact for visitors and clients.
• Assist in implementing new accounting procedures and policies.
