Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
• Two years of full-time, paid professional mental health experience.
• Licensed and currently registered by NYS in a qualifying behavioral health field.

Responsibilities

• Administers and oversees local implementation of AOT services and complex care needs.
• Receives, reviews, and investigates referrals for potential AOT candidates.
• Provides supervision to a professional mental health staff.
• Coordinates clinical assessments and eligibility determinations.
• Develops AOT petitions and files them as needed.
• Facilitates case review meetings for at-risk individuals.
• Develops crisis response, discharge planning, and treatment plans.
• Collaborates with legal counsel, hospitals, courts, and providers in the AOT process.
• Monitors adherence to court-ordered treatment plans and services.
• Coordinates access to community-based services.
