Job summary

United Airlines in Arlington Heights seeks an AOG Controller to manage 24/7 logistics for aircraft on-ground events, coordinating parts, tooling and transport to ensure timely maintenance support. The role requires coordinating with Maintenance Control, toolrooms, and suppliers, while adhering to GMM and IPC procedures.

A minimum associate degree and airline/logistics experience are expected; U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Control, Business, Operations, Technical or related field.
• Minimum 1+ years job experience in airline, logistics or related field.
• Knowledgeable in Logistics Control and Airline Operations
• Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Strong Analytical and Communication skills
• 12 Hours shift schedule
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end logistics of parts and tools for out-of-service and scheduled workload activities
• Determine best transportation method for value to United
• Validate part/tool requirements with Maintenance Control and sourcing
• Coordinate with Toolrooms and Warehouse Stores for tool shipments
• Coordinate return of tools to the toolroom owner
• Purchase aircraft parts or tooling at best value to support grounded aircraft
• Initiate purchase orders and ensure receipt, payment, finalization
• Initiate borrows of aircraft parts or tools from other airlines
• Support other airlines through accommodation sales and loans if inventory allows
• Conduct self-audits, ensure compliance with policies
• Use GMM and IPC manuals
