Job summary

Phoenix Houses of California is seeking an Alcohol and Drug (AOD) Counselor to coordinate individual services for clients across residential and outpatient programs. You will work under the Clinical Manager to integrate medical care, substance abuse treatment, and other services into personalized treatment plans.

You will provide individual counseling, lead group sessions, and respond to crises while maintaining appropriate records and contributing to program goals and family involvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; and registered as an AOD Counselor with DHCS, or
• Minimum one year of related field experience; Bachelor's degree preferred; valid credential if required.
• Must obtain TB test clearance and update annually.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Initial Assessment, Service Authorization, Treatment Plan, and reviews with related service plans.
• Provide individual counseling services.
• Facilitate evidence-based treatment groups for assigned cohorts.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed by clients, residents, and families.
• Maintain caseload to meet budgeted daily billable hours.
