Job summary

The Chanda Lab at Calibr is seeking a motivated Research Assistant I to support antiviral drug and immune modulator discovery. You will work in a team to execute key high-throughput assays, develop new in vitro assays, and maintain virus stocks and cell culture lines.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in a scientific field and 2+ years of related experience, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, microbiology or a relevant scientific discipline.
• 2+ years experience required; Master's degree or 1-2 years experience acceptable.
• Experience with viruses, in vitro antiviral assays, and cell-based/biochemical assays is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform human primary cell and cell line culture; prepare media and reagents.
• Handle compounds and maintain plate inventory.
• Execute high-throughput assays for screening campaigns.
• Analyze data and document in lab notebooks.
• Provide interpretation and initial analyses of results.
• Assist in designing experiments within overall research plan.
• Perform other duties as required.
