CiTi BOCES is seeking a Science Teacher for an anticipated 12-week maternity leave replacement at the CTE Advantage site in Mexico, NY. The teacher will deliver Regents-level Life Science: Biology and related courses to grades 9–12, linking science content to Career and Technical Education.

The role emphasizes engaging, hands-on instruction, aligns with NYS standards, maintains records, and collaborates with academic, CTE, and student support staff.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State secondary Science teaching certification appropriate to the assignment.
• Secondary science teaching experience preferred; experience with Regents-level coursework is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, classroom management, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Job Summary:

CTE Advantage is seeking a Science Teacher for an anticipated 12-week maternity leave replacement. The successful candidate will provide engaging science instruction to students in grades 9–12, including Regents-level Life Science: Biology, and other secondary Science coursework, while supporting connections between academic content and Career and Technical Education.

Job Type: Long-Term Substitute
Salary: Per Oswego County BOCES Teachers’ Association Contract
Reports To: CTE Principal
