Job summary

Wayne Tech and Career Center seeks a dedicated Science teacher for grades 7-12 at Williamson, NY. The role requires NYS Science 7-12 certification, with a preference for Physics or Chemistry. You will deliver rigorous, differentiated instruction and collaborate with colleagues to promote authentic student growth.

The position emphasizes equity, cultural responsiveness, and an inclusive classroom environment. 1.0 FTE anticipated with competitive pay and benefits, start date as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Certification required: NYS certification in Science 7-12 (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Earth Science).
• Dual certification in Students with Disabilities preferred.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with staff and students.

Job Description

Position: 1.00 FTE Science Teacher (7-12), (Anticipated)

Location: Wayne Technical and Career Center (WTCC), Williamson, NY

Salary Range: $52,341 - $61,805 - $58,370, based on experience and demonstrated abilities.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Qualifications

Current NYS certification in Science 7-12 (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Earth Science) with a preference for Physics or Chemistry. Candidates with dual certification in Students with Disabilities (SWD) are preferred.

Candidates should possess a broad skill set of effective teaching and learning to engage learners of all levels, including, but not limited to knowledge of the NYS Learning Standards and Assessments; knowledge of curriculum content and accepted methods of instruction; ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team; and excellent written and oral communication skills.
