Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim seeks a talented scientist for the Biotherapeutics Discovery group at the Ridgefield, CT facility. You will engage in discovery and molecular engineering of Biotherapeutics, performing phage and yeast display selections, designing antibody libraries, and analyzing sequence data and results.

Collaborate with automation and cross-functional partners to advance in vitro discovery workflows.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree with 3+ years of related experience or Bachelor’s with 7+ years of related experience.
  • Experience in phage, yeast, or other display technology.
  • Mastery of molecular biology methods including primer design, PCR, cloning, and sequence analysis.
  • Experience in ELISA and related assays.
  • Concise and accurate reporting of technical data.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform phage and yeast display selections for antibody discovery.
  • Design, construct, and implement in vitro antibody libraries for lead identification and optimization.
  • Screen biologic drug candidates using ELISA and related techniques.
  • Develop and execute high-throughput screening using automation technologies.
  • Independently write protocols and technical reports.
  • Present and defend scientific findings in meetings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support data-driven hit prioritization and workflow optimization.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of discovery workflows.
