Job summary

Aviva Systems Biology seeks a Research Associate I – Antibody Development to join our fast-paced biology team in San Diego. You will perform routine biochemistry, protein purification, and antibody-related workflows, contributing to recombinant protein development and assay support.

Responsibilities include chromatography, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, cell culture, data recording, and collaboration with R&D and manufacturing to advance new products.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in life science or related subject.
• 1+ year laboratory experience in academia or industry R&D or GMP environment preferred.
• Experience with immunology, biochemistry, and molecular biology basics.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Perform chromatography, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, immunoprecipitation, and SPR.
• Carry out small-scale bacterial, fungal, and mammalian cell culture using aseptic techniques.
• Operate electrophoresis and chromatography systems for biomolecule analysis or purification.
• Prepare chemical solutions required for production processes.
• Perform quality control methods in production of enzymes.
