Qualifications

• Required B.A./B.S. from regionally accredited institution.
• Valid teaching credential in the desired subject or eligibility for a provisional permit.
• CPR certification by AHA or Red Cross may be required for the permit.
• Experience teaching students with demographics similar to our community is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop IEPs in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Set measurable annual goals for students’ needs (academic, behavior, social-emotional).
• Provide specialized instruction and services (co-teaching, pull-out, etc.).
• Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and inform practice.
• Plan daily and long-term lessons aligned to IEPs and curriculum.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to differentiate material.
• Develop modified lessons for students with IEPs.
• Train staff to support instruction delivery.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, rigorous learning environment.
• Implement Restorative Practices and culturally responsive management.
• Communicate with families and staff to ensure IEP implementation.
• Engage in professional development and communities of practice.
• Maintain and update special education records.
