Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform specialized and general procedures, including vascular and obstetrical ultrasound, while operating all ultrasound equipment across hospital areas. You will record images, schedule exams via RIS, and maintain patient records with accuracy.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registration is required for the role.
• Specialized post-secondary training equal to two years of college is expected.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures for vascular, obstetrical and other areas as required.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and records images and makes copies as needed.
• Uses RIS to schedule and complete exams and prepares labels and films.
• Provides patient care and explains procedures to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Maintains accurate patient records and test information for physicians.
