Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (Non-Exempt) for the day shift. This full-time position requires performing general, transplant, abdominal and pediatric ultrasound procedures and delivering high-quality care across departments.

You will operate all ultrasound equipment, capture and label images, use the RIS for scheduling, maintain patient records, and explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Registration required by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Specialized post-secondary training equal to two years of college.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures (General, Transplant, Abdominal, Pediatrics) per department protocols.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and records images; labels sonograms for diagnosis.
• Uses RIS to schedule exams and manage labels/files.
• Provides patient care: explains procedures, positions patients and ensures comfort and safety.
• Maintains patient records and statistics accurately.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and reports hazards.
