Job summary

Amazon Kuiper's Antenna & RF Front-End Engineer role focuses on designing and validating high-performance antenna systems for Leo satellites and ground terminals. You will own ADC-to-antenna RF performance, collaborating with RF, systems, and calibration teams to deliver scalable RF links.

You'll balance EM design work with lab validation, tool development, and integrated testing across space and ground segments, driving results from concept to deployment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Python and other modern programming languages; strong scripting ability.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize antenna and RF front-end architectures to meet RF system goals.
• Own end-to-end RF performance from ADC/DAC through RF front-end to antenna radiation.
• Use EM/RF design tools to simulate performance, coupling, and pattern characteristics.
• Collaborate across calibration, software, DSP, ASIC, and validation teams.
• Define and maintain antenna specifications at module and system levels.
• Support prototype builds, chamber testing, and OTA validation.
• Provide DFM/DFT feedback for antenna boards and fixtures.
• Write design reports and present results to leadership.
• Develop and deploy code to support testing and validation of antenna systems.
