Job description

Meta Reality Labs group is looking for an Antenna Engineer to join our wireless team for AR/MR products. As an Antenna Engineer at Meta, you will be responsible for antenna performance specification, design, simulations, prototyping, implementation, passive performance test, OTA test and leading the antenna design through various development stages of the program. You will engage with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to bring wireless products from concept to market.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for antenna design, implementation and verification throughout a product design cycle.
2. Responsible for antenna matching circuit design, antenna passive and active performance by computer simulation and lab validation.
3. Perform board level and product level EM simulations for radio performance, spatial co-existence and emissions.
4. Partner with internal cross-functional teams and external JDM/CM to successfully bring wireless products to the market.
5. Support EMI/EMC troubleshooting, and product certification.
6. Support domestic/international travel to achieve program milestones.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, related field or equivalent experience with 3+ years of experience in antenna design for consumer electronics.
2. Experience with RF lab equipment for RF device and Antenna characterization as well as system performance validation, such as SAR, TRP and TIS.
3. Experience in EM simulation software, such as CST, HFSS.
4. Experience with RF/wireless system architecture and multi-radio co-existence mechanism.
5. Hands on with antenna tuning and measurement with VNA and anechoic chamber system.
6. Interpersonal experience: cross-group collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Ph.D or M.S in antenna design.
2. Experience with Cellular, GNSS, Wi-Fi/BT, and other wireless technologies.
3. Understanding in Wi-Fi/BT/Cellular RF system architecture.
4. Familiar with regulatory requirements (FCC, CE, etc.)
5. Coding skill for test equipment automation.
