Job summary

Penn State University is seeking an Assistant/Associate Director of Development to engage alumni and friends in supporting the College of Arts & Architecture. You will report to the Director of Development and Alumni Relations and work with college leadership, pursuing major gifts and crafting compelling proposals.

You will travel regionally and nationally to execute solicitation strategies, measure progress against fundraising metrics, and build enduring relationships with high-net-worth donors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; 1+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination accepted.
• Track record of success in securing major gifts and meeting fundraising goals.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills to engage high-net-worth audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; commitment to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate a prospect pool of graduates and key constituencies.
• Articulate Penn State’s needs, ambitions, and values through proposals and communications.
• Plan and execute solicitation strategies leading to major gifts.
• Travel extensively across the region and country to build relationships and meet fundraising metrics.
