Job summary

Penn State is seeking an Assistant Director of Annual Giving in the Office of Primary Giving. The role partners with colleges, campuses, units, and university programs to design data-informed fundraising strategies and multichannel campaigns.

You will lead donor engagement, monitor campaign performance, and collaborate with communications, units, and vendors. A Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of relevant experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data-informed annual giving strategies engaging donors across colleges, campuses, units, and programs.
• Manage multichannel campaigns including direct mail, email, telephone, text, digital fundraising, social media, personal solicitations and events.
• Act as a strategic partner to unit colleagues, translating needs into effective annual giving initiatives.
• Collaborate with communications and creative teams to produce messaging and assets supporting annual giving goals.
• Identify, solicit, cultivate, and steward prospects and donors to strengthen relationships.
• Monitor campaign performance, prepare reports, and optimize strategies for future initiatives.
• Articulate Penn State’s needs, ambitions, and values through communications.
• Coordinate with vendors, staff, volunteers, donors, committees, and boards.
• Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team environment and develop internal/external materials.
• Interact with University staff and administration; participate in meetings advancing the Office of Primary Giving.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with alumni and friends; may oversee office operations as needed.
