Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking an Annual Giving Officer to advance our philanthropy program and strengthen donor relationships across our health system. You will manage a portfolio of leadership annual giving donors and lead campaigns, communications, and recognition programs.

You will collaborate with philanthropy colleagues and communications partners to create donor-centered experiences and report on impact, contributing to MaineHealth’s annual fundraising goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or related field.
  • CFRE certification preferred.
  • Minimum five years in nonprofit development, with experience in annual giving, donor communications and campaign execution.
  • Demonstrated experience in multi-channel fundraising or donor engagement, strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

MaineHealth is looking for anAnnual Giving Officerto help inspire generosity and build meaningful, lasting relationships with donors and prospects across our health system.

In this role, you’ll manage and grow a portfolio ofleadership annual giving donors, creating thoughtful strategies for identification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and engagement — all with the goal of increasing donor retention, participation, and giving over time.

You’ll also take the lead on our Leadership Giving Society, helping shape how we recognize, engage, and communicate with some of our most committed supporters.

Working collaboratively with philanthropy colleagues and communications partners, you’ll develop compelling donor communications, stewardship strategies, recognition programs, and impact reporting that show donors the difference their generosity makes.

You’ll partner closely withgift processing, donor relations, stewardship, communications, major giving, and gift planning teamsto create a coordinated, donor-centered experience.

Whether connectingin person or virtually, you’ll play an important role in strengthening the culture of philanthropy across MaineHealth while helping advance our annual fundraising goals.

Summary

The Annual Giving Officer is responsible for executing annual giving strategies and campaigns, managing donor communications and solicitation efforts across multiple channels.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field.
  2. License/Certifications: CFRE certification preferred.
  3. Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in nonprofit development, preferably with exposure to annual giving, donor communications and/or campaign execution.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Demonstrated experience executing multi-channel fundraising or donor engagement efforts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and donor database systems.
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Strong project management skills.

The pay range for this position is $71,448.00to $96,636.80per year.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
