Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Manager of Philanthropy to build strong donor relationships and engage communities in support of patient care and service initiatives. You will lead strategic fundraising efforts, connect donors with programs, and collaborate with physicians, employees, and leaders to grow donor engagement.

You will manage a portfolio of donor relationships, develop campaigns, and drive philanthropic initiatives to sustain MaineHealth's mission across Maine and New Hampshire.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and/or CFRE preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in fundraising, community relations, or the equivalent.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities; proficient in CRM/fundraising databases and Microsoft Office Suite.

In this role, you'll build and cultivate relationships with donors, community members, and organizational leaders while helping develop and implement fundraising strategies that support MaineHealth's mission. You'll identify opportunities for donor engagement, steward meaningful partnerships, support philanthropic initiatives and campaigns, and help connect donors with programs and services that are important to them.

Summary

The Manager of Philanthropy provides strategic leadership and execution of fundraising efforts. This role is responsible for cultivating a culture of philanthropy by building strong relationships with community members, physicians, employees, and prospective major gift donors.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and/or CFRE preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive experience in fundraising, community relations, or the equivalent. Prior experience supervising fundraising or development professionals preferred. Experience in healthcare or higher education philanthropy preferred.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Strong organizational and project management abilities. Proficient in CRM/fundraising databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.

The pay range for this position is $89,980.80to $121,721.60per year.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).

In addition to base pay, MaineHealth offerscomprehensivebenefits, recognition programs, career growth opportunities, and,where applicable,shiftdifferentials or other incentives.
