Job summary

NOCO Humane in Loveland, CO is seeking a Shelter Manager to oversee daily operations across campuses, including Pet Adoption, Client Services and Animal Care, supervising up to 7 managers and 30+ staff.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, prior supervisory experience in animal welfare, strong leadership, and collaboration with multiple departments. This full-time exempt position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a schedule that may include weekends and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience in animal shelter or similar organization.
• Experience with staff training, scheduling, and budgeting across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Adoption Manager and Shelter, Animal Care and Client Services staff.
• Identify training and growth opportunities for team members; ensure staff development.
• Coordinate operations across campuses, events and external partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local animal care regulations and safety standards.
